RADIESSE

Exercises To Improve Your Hip Dips

Hip augmentation is the only way how you are going to get rid of hip dips completely. Exercising will only improve their appearance. So what are hip dips and why do we need to get rid of them? That's exactly the point. We do not need to get rid of them. Love your human body as it is, including your hip dips.

If we are cursed with more noticeable hip dips, peer pressure, social trends, and the need for the perfect body say we must get rid of them. Do we need to listen to them?

"Hip dips or violin hips" are the colloquial names given to the naturally occurring depressions you have on the top of both your thigh below your hips.

They are perfectly natural, they are normal and everyone has them. They are not good and they are not bad. They are just a part of your human anatomy and genetic bone structure. In which, at birth, you had no say. You get what you are born with. We all do They are not a sign of you being overweight, undernourished, or having poor eating habits. From a hip dip perspective, there is absolutely nothing medically wrong with you.

Some of our women super athletes and fitness fanatics may not have very noticeable hip dips but unless they have had hip augmentation they have got the dips. It is only because of the exercising they do that, unlike yours, their hip dips are not very noticeable.

Getting rid of hip dips completely

Hip augmentation/surgery is the only way to completely get rid of hip dips. There are generally 3 accepted ways of doing this.

Liposuction in a post about how to get rid of hip dips

Liposuction

This is possibly the most popular option and it involves changing your fat distribution.

Using liposuction, body fat is removed from unwanted areas and injected into your hip dips. Alternatively, excessive fat may simply be removed from your hip bones.

Liposuction is usually an outpatient procedure carried out at a clinic or hospital. Not everyone can have it done. Your doctor will advise you regarding your suitability and if you are suitable they will explain the procedure in more detail to you.

Liposuction procedure

Liposuction is a procedure where fat is removed from an unwanted area of your body such as your buttocks, stomach, or inner thighs.

  • Small incisions are made which will require stitches to close them up again.
  • The fat is then prepared so that it can be re-injected into your body. This involves spinning it at high speed to remove all the blood and other fluids.
  • The prepared fat is now injected into your hip area. Usually, no stitches are required at the injection site.

It is important to understand there are no guarantees as to the lasting success of this procedure. Up to 70% of the fat injected into your hips may be absorbed into your body in the 12 months following the procedure.

Is liposuction safe?

Fat grafting and liposuction are surgical procedures, and as with any surgical procedure, there is a risk of complications.

Common side effects may include but not be limited to:-

  • Bruising and pain at the sites of both the injections and the incisions
  • dimpling at the site of the injection
  • swelling and bleeding at both the incision and the injection sites

Aftercare

For most patients aftercare is limited to taking it easy for 2 or 3 days. Depending on what work you do you may want to take 1 or 2 days off work and just take it easy at home ( get spoilt) until you have fully recovered

In extreme cases, fever and a discharge at the site of the incision may indicate an infection. If that should happen. Give your doctor a call.

How much does liposuction cost?

Hip dip surgery is classified as a cosmetic procedure and is therefore not covered by most standard medical insurance policies. If that is your situation you will be responsible for the entire cost of the procedure.

This cost can be influenced by your area and the skill or experience level of your doctor, but on average expect it to cost between $8000 and $12000

Injectable filler in a post about how to get rid of hip dips

Injectable filler

As of March 2021, the FDA had approved only two injectable fillers, Sculptra and Radiesse as being safe to use for getting rid of hip dips. You can read more about this by referring to Obi Bioaesthetic Institute's blog on Hip Dips. Which product you go with is usually a decision based on:

  • your doctor's opinion as to your medical suitability for one product over the other
  • how quickly do you want to see an improvement
  • and how long will the treatment last?

Radiesse

Originally developed as a soft tissue dermal facial injectable filler RADIESSE is now FDA approved for both hands and hip dips as well.

With Radiesse the improvement is immediate, it is non-inflammatory and the treatment will last approx 10 -12 months.

How does radiesse work?

Radiesse is made up of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in a gel base. These microspheres embed themselves in the dermal tissue and provide a temporary platform for your new collagen to grow on.

The important thing to keep in mind is that Radiesse is a calcium-based product and although very similar to the composition of your bones and teeth, it does not occur naturally in the body. Once injected Radiesse cannot be reversed or dissolved so it has increased risks.

One week before your appointment stop using all skincare products containing retinol. You also need to avoid any blood-thinning medication, which includes aspirin as well as any cosmetics that could cause irritation to your skin.

Other things to avoid are:

  • Ibuprofen
  • Vitamin E
  • Ginkgo Biloba
  • St John's Wort
  • Alcohol

If you are in any doubt about what medication or supplements you may or may not take a week prior to your treatment, be safe and contact your doctor for advice.

Radiesse Treatment

Once you and your provider have discussed and agreed on your suitability for the product, and your aesthetic goals a date will be set for you to receive the treatment. On the day of your appointment, your skin will be cleansed and numbing cream applied to the treatment area. Depending on the sensitivity of the treatment area and the technique to be used, your doctor may choose to use a numbing injection as well as the numbing cream.

The actual filler treatment should take between 5 and 10 minutes and should cause very little pain or discomfort. After treatment, you are free to go home and put your feet up for the rest of the day. The next day you should be able to continue life as normal.

How Much Does Radiesse Cost?

Depending on your residential area or state, expect to pay between $600 and $850 per vial of Radiesse. As every instance of hip dip is different, how many vials and injections will you need can only be accurately determined by your doctor during your consultation.

On average, a complete hip dip correction takes as many as 10 vials, that's 5 per hip dip which is not an unreasonable expectation.

Be aware that this treatment is considered elective plastic surgery and it is very unlikely your medical insurance will cover these costs so it is important that you get an accurate estimate from your doctor before you say " Okay, let's do it".

Sculptra in a post about how to get rid of hip dips

Sculptra

Sculptra is based on a poly-L-lactic acid formulation. Poly-L-lactic acid is the same material that dissolvable stitches are made from and as a synthetic material and over time it will be completely absorbed by your body.

How does sculptra work?

As a filler, Sculptra triggers a controlled inflammatory response by acting as a foreign body that will naturally deteriorate over time. By triggering an inflammatory response, Sculptra stimulates the natural production of new collagen around the filler. It's important that you understand that Sculptra is not the filling agent. Sculptra causes a reaction in your skin which promotes the growth of new collagen.

It is this collagen that fills in the depression in your hips and it is this new growth of collagen that takes the time before you see results. Sculptra is absorbed by your body and is gone within 2 years. The new collagen that is left behind is what will last 2 years or longer. In most cases, getting completely rid of hip dips with Sculptra will require 3 treatments at 4 to 6-week intervals. The advantage of this staggered treatment is that you have sufficient time in-between treatments to gauge the effectiveness of your last treatment.

Should you decide that after your last treatment you do not need any more augmentation you can simply cancel any further treatment. This way you remain in charge of the whole process including the associated costs The number of injections and the timing between treatments will vary from person to person so it is important that during your consultations you discuss this timing with your doctor before you make any decisions regarding using this product.

7 days prior to having any injections you should avoid:

  • any type of inflammatory medication such as Asprin, Advil, ibuprofen, or Motrin
  • any type of Omega -3 supplement
  • and Vitamin E supplements

Three to four days before your treatment, start taking pills or creams containing Arnica or any other natural healing ingredients. Continue this treatment until all the bruising is gone. Starting before you have the treatment will greatly reduce your healing time. This is an outpatient procedure and many patients are able to immediately continue life as normal after treatment.

The Rule of 3 x 5

For maximum benefit. Massage the area injected for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days. This will spread Sculptra into your tissue and stop too much collagen from forming in the one spot creating unwanted and unsightly lumps in your skin.

How Much Does Scripture Cost?

People who have had hip implants and reported their costs are reporting prices in the range of $8500 to $12000 just for the procedure. Factor in the cost of your aftercare, and the cost to rent or buy a wheelchair, and your costs could easily run up to $ 14000 or $15000. Hip implants are considered plastic surgery and they are in all probability not covered by your medical insurance which means you would be personably responsible for all costs.

As part of your consultation process with your doctor, discuss the costs and get an accurate estimate of what the costs are likely to be. If you are happy with improving their appearance then exercise and a healthy food diet is what you need.
